Hi,

My contract with TalkTalk ends in Feb 2015.

Ive been advised that I can cancel before that it ends bygiving 30 days notice, and would cost me £46 but they told me I can NOT cancel in writing or email. It has to be by phone?

Surely this CANT be right? Please help.

too true

just like the credit agencies

email them and tell them

and you want an ack of your request

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Im tempted to write straight to their CEO cos TT's online chat gave me a rude CS agent who then transferred me to some other woman without warning, who disconnected me before i got chance to type.....then a fresh chat to another woman who told me i have to call in and cant cancel in writing.

Send Dido Harding an email, mark it a Formal Letter of Complaint. Explain what's happened, how they have let you down and what you want them to do.

Send it to:-

Ms Dido Harding

Chief Executive

TalkTalk Group

[email protected]

The reason they want you to phone is because they want to retain your custom by reselling the product to you, with offers.

Anybody got a Talk Talk CEO address thats not a PO Box??

Thanks Rebel.

Ive found an adress too, thats not po box. I will email first. Am i within my right to state that i do not wish to be called regarding the matter, by email/postal letter only? and should i try asking them to cancel my services without incurring the costs

Yes to email/letter, yes you can ask them to wave the charges, see what they say.

Thanks Rebel.

why they want you to call is to pay the early termination charge to enable them to process the cancellation i think

or to try and bombard you with offers

It's exactly the same with Experian, if you don't call - they don't cancel !!!

Then they tell you " well you agreed to the T's & C's"

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

If in doubt, you should seek the opinion of a Qualified Professional.
