Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Have 3 accounts with Natwest. At various different times they have all been £1,000s in credit earning a pittance in interest, but the usual situation has arisen whereby cheques have been waiting to clear for 1000's on the business account, and the day before they do it has gone overdrawn by £11.00.(Just one example of many over the years) Wham Bang thank you man ! In fairness, they did once refund some charges earlier this year , but 2 weeks later I made an incorrect transfer online-and even though they could see my mistake, it was no, you've used up our goodwill now. Would love to take my business elsewhere, worried about recriminations, especially on the business account..
Account closure will always be a possibility, although the likelyhood of it happening depends on the bank. Some are more likely than others.
You can claim back penalty charges from business accounts in much the same way as for personal accounts except that you cannot use consumer regulations to back your claim.
I recommend that you open parachute accounts, just in case.
Good luck with your claim.
