Hi.

I have finally admitted defeat in trying to juggle all my payday loans and

tonight started the ball rolling for a DMP with Stepchange.

The problem is I get paid on Wednesday next week and all my payments are due out.

The DMP won't be in place by then and I won't have enough money to pay them all.

Stepchange aren't open until Monday and i'm worried sick about what to do.

I'm a single parent and although I work full time I am on a low wage

and if they clear my account I won't have any money until next month.

I'm so scared I don't know what to do now.

Can someone help me please?

I assume you cancelled all the direct debits? I can't see how they can take money without your knowledge or permission. If they contact you, just refer them to step change as you are with them and they will take care of the creditors.

Go to your bank and demand in writing that they block all transactions to those companies and cancel ALL CPA's on the account. The bank will try and say no. They are wrong and are breaking the law if they say no.

Also, have a read of http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?396982-New-payday-loan-survival-guide-by-mike-dailly-govan-law-centre.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

you MUST contact your bank [CPA's ref above]

do it NOW by their phone banking

then follow it up by formal letter on Monday.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you Renegadeimp. I was so embarrassed about posting, I feel like a complete idiot and a failure for getting into this mess. I will cancel the CPA's with the bank asap and hopefully the DMP will be up and running shortly so I can get all this paid off. Do I ask them to cancel all transactions or just CPA's?

Both. The bank is not allowed to refuse. They will be breaking the law if they do. Remember, the PDL's rely on this to force you into doing what they want. YOU are in control. NOT them.

It really doesn't feel like it at the moment. Thank you so much for your help, you really don't know how much you've helped me.
