Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi I'm in the process of filling out an N1 form for the first time. (I should have gone for someone else first rather then the 'we're better than you' Egg but never mind)
I am currently filling out the particulars of the claim and I need to work out how much I can claim for. its a CC so I asked them for the £220 of charges and the interest that would have accrued on that over the 4 years of charges. (£48.62 @ 16.9% APR) Now I'm inot court, can I only ask for the £220 + 8% interest or can I go for 220+48.62 + 8% from now?
I just want to make sure that they do not have any easy excuse to get rid of it here.
Also I had the threat from them that If I claim then they will apply for dismissal and come after me for the costs but as Far as I am aware, they cannot do that in the small claims court. can any one confirm ?
