Default What can i claim back from mortgage copmpany ?

    HI all,

Really starting to get into this claiming back malarkey so thought id start to do some research on mortgageicon charges aswell so im prepared for the future.

Recently changed mortgageicon from I Group ( GE MONEY now) to a new lender.

We got into a lot of trouble with I group which culminated in a (suspended) reposessionicon order.

Anyway - when we changed to the new mortgage company we were hit with a huge early redemption figure ( if my memory is right it was a round 9k) and whilst we were still with I group we were being hit with around £600 per month in interesticon and charges

so .... what can i claim back from I group ?
Has anybody had any success claiming from I group yet ?
    and
Does the procedure change any from claiming from your bank ?

    Thanks for any advice offered.

    WD

    Hi WaveyDave,

The procedure is basically the same as bank charges although 9K will put you on the fast track which has certain cost implications if you loose.

You can claim back charges but probably not interesticon unless it can be seen as a penalty for breach of contract.

Not aware of any successes from Igroup as of yet but there are a few claims in progress:

    Hope this helps
