Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hello all, I am new here and have been thinking for a while about recaliming bank charges. I have opened a new bank account that is now up and running and have the letter ready to go. I just have to get the guts up to send the letter. I am frightened of being labelled a troublemaker. The charges have mostly been for unpaid direct debits during leaner times or because OH's money hasn't gone in on time (self employed so money appears at different times of the month), and my money barely covers the bills. I think there is probably a few hundred quid to come back from over the past few years (over £200 in the last year), but I am still slightly of the school of thought that it's our own fault for not being more organised. So it is definitely worth my while doing it, I just need to get up the guts to fight. Anyway that's me, just wanted to say hi.
