Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have recently received my bank statement and they have charged me for going over my overdraft limit. I rang them up and they advised me to write to them, which I did. I have today received a letter from their customer service administrator, giving me their reasons for the charges and telling me they cannot refund the amount. It is very unusual for me to go overdrawn and I am quite annoyed at their attitude, but I intend writing to them again.
I listen to Martin and his advise on the Jeremy Vine programme, and taken onboard his advise. What I'd like to know is, "should I mention the Consumer Action group" when I write to the Nationwide again.
HI Gilly
You don't need to mention CAG in your letter but we have some great sticky labels for the back of the envelopes that have letter before action, request for Charges etc.
Have a good browse round the site it will help you through all the stages.
There are links at the base of my post to help you get around.
the "list of banks" link will take you to your bank section where you can start a personnel v's thread to gain support form other users
I'd like to thank you for the prompt reply to my query, and if you could let me have some details about the labels to stick on the back of envelope, I would appreciate it.
