Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have a friend in business who was always complaining about overdraft setup fees etc. Would he have a chance of getting anything back or is it only for downtrodden ordinary customers?
Yes business's can claim back the same sorts of charges as consumers (it's a slightly different process but the framework is the same) however it's all only in relation to penalty fees. overdraft arrangment fees, fees for seeing your manager, fee's for paying money in/out are not eligable; unless your bank have forceably imposed them on you ("we've bounced your cheque, charged you a fee for it, that fee has made you overdrawn, we've charged you a fee for setting up this overdraft... etc"
