Thread: Anyone got a rate reduction?

bangin my head against a brick wall! 24.9% trying to get it lowered via there call centre but keep getting the no can do answer! Anyone managed it?

Nope.

And I can tell you something else.

We just got rid of ours. Now, the last time we paid it off in full and tried to close the accounts, they offered us 3 months interest back on each card as an incentive. This time, they just asked why, and we told them the increased APR, they just said "ok" and closed the account. (which is a bummer, we were hoping they'd offer a rebate, then we would have cancelled the cards 1 month later )

So, either the increased APR is REALLY important to them, or they keep tab of the undesirables who have the cheek of reclaiming their charges and tightening the screws on them. Or both.

Hmm i see your point, i could really do with them dropping the APR tho!
