Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Talk about delaying tactics, Argos ignorned my first letter, responded to my second asking for £10 DPA then 40 days, I know it was only one payment of £20 but don't have the date, will have to send the £10 to get it moving again.....
Can't believe with the holiday forgot to pay this month, got charged £17.50 and found the last statement when I had to pay charges - don't need the DPA then.
Saying they are involved with the OFT because they are a store card, offered £30 to settle, and recommend the direct debit, first time been offered this facility.
They owe me £35 should I settle for £30 and set up the DD or fight it out for the full £35 plus interest by going to court?
Perhaps a bit petty to fight for the £5 plus - might give them a ring and try and bend their arm.
