Default Woolwich still charging £35 for missed DD!!!!

wanted to post this as a new threadicon to gauge response and possible avenues...

I got a letter today from The Woolwich for a bounced DD and the usual £35 will be taken on 01/11/06 (cos they know I get paid for then lol)

if the OFT have stated that £12 would be the amount they would investigate over then why are companies still charging these unlawful rates? I have already submitted a claim for my charges and yet they still slap another disproportinate one on for good measure...

the floor is open for you........

just rang woolwich and the £12 is only applicable to credit cards apparently... looks like another £35 added to my lbaicon on friday then

can anyone clarify whether the £12 fee is just for CC or is for all 'penalty' charges

Ok the £12 is applicable to CC. However this is only a guide amount. You can reclaim these charges from your bank. Have you claimed before?
