hi, I have already started my claim on its way to barclaycard and am about to send off my prelim letter, thankfully my account only ran from 2004. However we claiming for the fellas barclaycard too and have run into a brick wall with microfiche..... does the Abbey ruling apply to barclaycard as well? and if so does anyone have any ideas how to word it? Should we just put a special paragraph into the SAR request? all ideas and help would be greatly appreciated - this was a student account that he never used to pay so there should be loads of charges just waiting to be reclaimed on it!!
In your letter just refer to the Abbey ruling saying that you are referring to the ruling and as the Information Commisioner has ruled that microfiche is a revelant filing system that you can see no reason why THEY also cannot supply you with it.
What is the brick wall with microfiche if you havent sent off the SAR request as a matter of interest?
the brickwall is that the account was closed in 2004! all statements at barclaycard are stored on microfiche prior to 2004. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll doctor the SAR and see what they say.
