    Default A&L Watch your statements!

Some time ago I noticed my A&L statements mysteriously 'altered' as money went in and out so I started printing them to .pdf on a daily basis, today I have the evidence I wanted to prove it.

I had been £1.48 under my overdrafticon limit for a week or so, Sunday was payday, of course the wages don't show as a transaction on a sunday but the balance showed they were there. first thing monday morning my salary went in, then 3 DD came out, leaving me well in credit, then I made my ususal bill payments by internet banking after work last night, still well in credit, this morning, all those debits are shown as going out before my salary went in, leaving me well overdrawn!!! Now lets see if they lump charges on!

Anyone else noticed this, I know most process debits before credits, HSBCicon/First Direct are the only banks I know of that bank in 'real time'

    Yes, janquinny.
You are completely right - and this is invaluable ammunition. I've tried to make this same point over and over with two Female Jobsworths on the (expensive)phone, to no avail.

I'm sure one of the experts will incorporate this into their 'FIRST: READ THIS:...' section.
Just tried to thank you and up came this message:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to janquinny again.
    Anyway, the thanks are sincere.

    Thanks for that

Well I hope they take it all the way to court because I shall certainly be using this evidence!

I have had the same thing many times.
Also had the comment the amount to cover SO or DD needs to be available in your account the day before otherwise it will incur a paid item charge. :o

    Chq cashed 18/10

The majority of the charges on my account have been incurred by this process. I paid in £50 cash the day before to cover a £10 DD and was charged £25 paid item charge and also £25 overdrafticon charge.

    A&L debt due £873.36
    Studio Cards £851.54
Shoe Tailor £1137.96 and rising monthly
    Capital One ?

Oh well I emptied my A&L account today just before I posted my lbaicon, just incase a machine swallowed my card once they had recieved it, usual story, balance on the cash machine bears no resemblance to the actual balance so I had to guess, cancelled the remaining dd for this month, i have until this time next month to sort the others out. Oh forgot to leave the money in for my charges! bummer
