    Default Hippy v's Barclaycard

After months of procrastinating, i finally got my act together and sorted out my claim against barclaycard today

I sent off the spreadsheet and letter before actionicon (by recorded delivery) this afternoon, and now eagerly await a responce from them

I wont get a lot of cash back, but it will clear the account. Im happy enough with that, its one less bill to pay at the end of every month. And the money is better in my pocket than theirs.

    Ill keep you posted

    Question Re: Hippy v's Barclaycard

Got a letter from Katrina Downs, she is sorry that I am dissatisfied with their service!! hmmm

My correspondence is being dealt with and they aim to resolve matters by 10th November, however this is 11 days after the 14 days that I have given them to comply with my letter - do I give them till 10th November, or do I carry on with my original schedule and send the next letter on 30th October as stated in my first letter

I know that if I mess up, they won't take me seriously so Im in a bit of a quandry as to what to do now - any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Hippychick,
Its very common for banks etc to try to set their agenda. They are just trying to waste time and delay the inevitable payout. Stick to your agenda, so send your lbaicon as promised on 30th October, giving them a further 14 days. Then file your claim on MCOL. Good luck (not that you'll need luck)

    Ok update

Got a letter this morning from Carol Jones, Customer Relationship Manager, whoo-hoo a manager. Basically, she says that they wont revise their offer, sorry that its not the outcome that I was expecting, blah blah

The letter is dated the on the same day that I issued the summons, so they hadnt received the summons when this letter was sent. Im hoping that I will get a better response when they get the summons, then they will know that I am serious

    Fingers crossed
