Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Had a look through stacks of posts but I've been unable to find any information with regard to having late payment marks or default's removed from your credit file after you have won your case against the bank / credit card company who imposed them.
I know most of you out there are like me, had problems with the bank that have been compounded by bank managers that don't care/understand that the problem of bank charges relates to more than just a few quid in extortion, but it goes deeper than this if it is not dealt with promptly, by this I mean the dreaded "CREDIT FILE", as far as I can understand once you've had "Black Marks" against your credit file then that is it, your stuffed !!
Is there anybody out there that may be able to shed some light on this subject?
hello enigmaworld
im new here myself but i think you have to ask your bank to remove it, but i think it stays on for 6 years,
sorry i cant be of any help to you

If nothing is done to change it then it stays on for six years. I know if you've been defaulted, you can have the court order that the default is removed from your credit file when (not if!) you win but I'm not so sure about the monthly markings (or, indeed, if anyone else is able to see those monthly markings).
