Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi there, I have been reading all the forums and have taken action against Abbey for £4900 I sent a SAR letter on the 1st Sept. They sent me all statements by 25th Sept, I sent prelim letter on 29th Sept, didn't hear anything and sent lba letter on 13th Sept (Friday). I then received letter from Abbey on Sat 14th offering me gogw of £1,278. It doesn't say in their letter when they will refund this or how. It is not in my account yet. Do I wait to see if they reply to my LBA sent the day before or should I write to them asking them to explain the gogw and when I would get it?? Not sure what to do now.
i`d send a letter rejecting the offer, but accepting it as part settlement and will pursue the rest, and i`d also still continue with your court claim, cos chances are they wont pay a part settlement
Thanks for that. If I do this though I suppose they are then not going to pay me the gogw amount then until the whole claim is settled. So I won't expect any money right til the end??
