    Angry SAR failure

Help. Getting messed around by YB. They are now 25 days over the SARicon date. I have provided id,they told me the accounts didn't exsist? and now another letter saying they've got my request and have 40 days to comply???

Advice, i want to file at court now. Do i estimate my charges? how much damages can i claim for i.e letters, phone callsicon. Never come across such an incompetent set up.

Hi please read teh thread regarding non complieance.

You can contact them and inform them that you are going to report them to the information commisioner, this should speed them up. Also tell them that you are willing to collect the statements from your branch this again may speed things up for you.

Hi well you can them take the next step. Perhaps try a call just to say that the 7 days are up tomorrow and inform them what you intend to do. It may help to get the statemnets.

The lbaicon is definitely a quicker route than the Information Commissioner who take months to do anything. Can I assume that you sent your payment with your request as 40 days runs from then.

You should not go straight to court, but you can certainly start the process with a preliminary request for payment. Have you got any statements that you can use to come up with a reasonable estimate. You can point out that you cannot provide a schedule of charges as they have not complied with your SARicon.

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
