hi all, just been told about this forum & i think i have a case.
I went to my bank for back statements but they want £5 per sheet, thet would cost at least £360
So,can anyone help me with a couple of questions,
1) what is a dpa request
2)where do i send it
3)has anyone had any dealings with the clydesdale bank
Yorkshire Bank is a trading name of Clydesdale Bank.
In Calvert v Yorkshire Bank the Judge described Yorkshire Bank as at their best unhelpful and at their worst provocative. This was a Data Protection 3 day multi-track trial held in May/June 2003
Statements alone are not really enough, a DPA request also asks for any manual intervention and added notes on your account which may be important, especially if the case goes to court.
Also online banking will only let you go back a few months anyway besides asking for 6 years worth now will ring alarm bells anyway. Quite a few people (especially those with Natwest) have been sent statements either instead of or as part of a full DPA request with no charge anyway.
yesterday i served notice tha i intended to reclaim my money by hand delivering letters of intent to both my local branch & head office in glasgow, after cancelling all D/D & S/O.
i went to the bank today & my account is £300 lighy
