    Question Settled credit card accounts

    Hi

I'm primarly intrested in recovering bank charges from my Barclaysicon current account but the more I read on here the more I'm now thinking about credit cards both present and closed accounts and my question is this; I had two credit cards approx four years ago which I'd run up around £10,000 between them, I was made redundanticon as a self employed IT contractor and as the payment protection on them was invalid due to being self employed (I didn't know this until after the event) I eventually settled on a lower amount than the outstanding balances, so could I still claim for missed/late payments etc.

    Cheers

    Simon

Yes you can! Simply they were unlawful charges, whatever you agreed regarding a settlement on the account isn't in question here, their unlawful charges is a sepetate issue!

Exclamation Re: Settled credit card accounts

    Hi

Thanks for that I'll get in touch with the companies, am making a start today with my current account, went through all the old statements last night and found that Barclaysicon have ripped me off for £1785 over the last 6 yearsicon, what also apalled at how steeply the paid refferal fee has increased over the last 2 years from £20 to £30.

    Cheers

    Simon
