Hello everyone!
Data Protection letter sent yesterday 14/10/06.
I have been told by the big bods at A&L that it should take about 3 weeks to get the paperwork through so that gives me 3 weeks of swotting up on this site.
I am just a young mum of 5 small children(1,1,3,3,6) who has been stung by these charges since I was 19(25 now). I remember months when I went 63p OD and I recieved £115 in charges!! Where is the justice is that hey?
People think I am nutty for taking this all the way(which I will!) as its little old me against the big boys! Luckily I have a single account but we are in town tomorrow to get me added on to my husbands account as its the kick up the bum I need to finally get a joint account with the old man After all, whats his is mine and whats mine is mine
Anyway-waffling now! You will notice its something I do best when you see me posting!
Just to add. I am certain I will be the only one who ends up in court and I am really scared! My hubby has told to swot up on it all as much as I can so if the day ever comes I can stand up in court and give my side while knowing all the in's and out's of it all. Fingers crossed it doesnt get that far though!!!
Good luck to all that are going through the same thing and well done to those who have successfully got THIER money back!

I dont think you will end up in court but i do know that you will get your money back! best of luck.
Hi Twinmumagain.
If you can raise 2 sets of twins and an extra one then this will be a doddle for you!!
I think we all think we'll be the ones going to court but the banks would then have to justify the charges. Which on yours is a great example of the charges on a 63p overdraft!! Love to see them try and get out of that one.
Your hubby's right, swot up on this site, the more you read the more you get a bit of confidence. Any probs just post it on your thread and someone will answer you best they can.
One thing though DON'T BE SCARED its your money so you get it back, and were all here to help and support you.
Best of luck to you...... (not that you'll need it!!)

Hi Mumagain,i was very nervous at first but the more you read and the more you see others helping folk evey step of the way the more empowered you feel.Stick with it,best of luck.
Good for you Julie. Everyone is right, you won't end up in court, but how on earth will you find the time to swot up with your tribe! You are right to do it though and you will be surprised how useful it will all be later on.
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
Should you be offered help that requires payment please report it to site team.
