    Default Microfiche issues

Just read an announcement by bankfodder that Abbeyicon National microfiche is a relevant filing system after an investigation

The Information Commissioner has conducted an investigation and has decided that Abbey is breaching its statutory obligations.
The Abbey microfiche system is a "relevant filing system".

Surely this is in the favour of barclaycard customers all we need to do is pursue or charges and complain to the Information commissioner

hope this helps and brings this issue to peoples attention

Just read this fantastic news myself!
I think i will send another letter to barclaycard reminding them that they only have another 16 days to comply. As well as a complaint to the financial obudsman. Do you think we can site the fact that the commisioner deemed Abbeyicon's microfiche "relevant" therefore barclaycard must be too?

    Nadia.

I'm confused. I was given the whole "no earlier than May 2004 due to microfiche" malarky. Can I write back and demand all the old statements?

I believe if we just follow the procedure set by the Consumer Action Group and Complain to the Information Commissioner after the 40 days it will be brought to his attention and he will have to act

but i aint a legal expert

I was also given the whole "no earlier than May 2004" due to microfiche malarky. The letter stated that the bundle of statements was complete back to that date.

Only it wasnt. Only went as far back as April 2005.

Jeeze, they cant even tell lies with any consistancy!

I'm just going to wait until the 40 days is up and send letter of complaint to the Information Commissioner.

Does anyone know if I can use this clear wafflement as justification for a Notice of Dispute?
