Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Going to post my initital letter (SAR) tomorrow to Barclays. Believe I am armed with all the necessary facts having read an awful lot of useful information on this site, and thanks to DRUID for a fantastic account to date of his battle, found it extremely helpful.
Welcome to the Barclays forum! Keep us updated and stick to your timetable dont be swayed by their letters, expect standard fob off letters!! Keep reading the threads to keep your confidence up!!
Surprised at how quick Barclays responded with statements and also returned ten pound fee.
surely it cannot be this easy!! Will see what happens when I submit claim for repayment.
Thanks again for the support and assistance of this site.
Hi........Best of luck.......but don't be taken in by a false sense of security, they will try to fob you off, try to intimidate and try to derail your claim at every stage with lots of legal jargon designed to scare you off!... Stick to the tried and tested procedure initiated on here Kid and you will prevail!!.......Keep calling back for updated info and to increase you confidence when you feel a bit fed up!.....were all here to help.....'UNITY IS STRENGTH'.
I posted my Schedule of Charges to Barclays on 31 October, and received a reply 03 November stating they would deal with it and reply no later than 28 November.
Should I still forward lba if I hear nothing further by the 14 day point, or wait until 28 November to see if they keep to their word?
Again many Thanks.
Gavin
