hi
i am due to appear in court on the 20th nov, because my credit card company (HSBC) wants to put a charge on my house,
the total amount including interest and cost's is 4,780
this went to court on the 4th oct, i did not even know about it,
what can i do,
will i lose my home.
who in hsbc do i write to,
thats a bit worrying as I spoke to a solicitor and they were the one that said you wouldnt be made to sell your home there was no mention of making any payment unless you re-mortgage or want to sell your home!!
i did speak to HSBC soilcitors, but they said selling your house was the last thing they would do, also said we would not being charging interest.
i did say that i was happy for them to put a charge on my house cause i wont be selling for the next 25 years.
thanks for that catwoman.
i did not know that, but if it remains unpaid they will just apply for another one.
i bug bear is it was a credit card debt. where does it say you could lose your home.

I think you will find that a judge will not force you to sell for such a small amount. I cant see that they would be allowed to take another action against you having already had a charging order put on your home. I think if you look at most agreement they will say you could lose your home if payment are not made, but a credit card is not secured on your home unlike some loans. If they keep chsing you I think you could claim harassment!! Human right and all that stuff!!!!!
hi all.
just to update there is a charging order now on my house for a credit card debt, done by HSBC, today i get a letter fron neath port talbot county court, notice of issue of warrant of execution, claimant hsbc,
if i dont paid £162.25 by the 11 feb (sun) bailiffs will be coming, cant pay the 162.25 by the 11th.
do i phone the bailiff office number which is only open 8am-10am or phone hsbc soilcitors.
any advice?
cheers rob
