Hi all sent a S.A.R to jd williams (fashion world) 12th Sept. Recevied the standard need ID letter. then last week some statements turned up but only 3 years worth (2003-2006) I've been with them since 1994. So rang was told person I want to speak with was'nt there but I'll get him to ring you back. Of course he did'nt ring back so sent a letter saying data was incomplete please send the rest. Got another letter this morning with a couple of pages of orders from 1/8/01to 4/4/06 but no payment details. The letter that came with it said "that this is all the data they have on me", "The D P A 1998 requires us to only hold that data which is strictly necessary and not hold data which is old, out of date or excessive" and " that good data protection practice dictates that we "cull" data periodically"! I'm not sure of my next step. Do I contact them and tell them that I know there talking rubbish send me my details, or do I leave it until the 40 days are up? Any advice would be very much appricated. Thank you
