The letter that came with it said "that this is all the data they have on me", "The D P A 1998 requires us to only hold that data which is strictly necessary and not hold data which is old, out of date or excessive" and " that good data protection practice dictates that we "cull" data periodically"! I'm not sure of my next step. Do I contact them and tell them that I know there talking rubbish send me my details, or do I leave it until the 40 days are up? Any advice would be very much appricated. Thank you

Hi the Data Protection Act only allows you to request information for 6 years, also it does not give you the right to ask for statements only a list of charges. Please read the faqs they will explain all to you.
