Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
If the banks charges are unlawful, they are advertising prices for services which are overpriced and are against the law.
Can we stop them advertising on any grounds, because they are acting unlawfully? i.e. by contacting whoever deals with false advertising, i.e. on TV? Or by contacting whoever promotes on the banks' behalves and informing them they are promoting a company which is acting unlawfully?
Just something I'm pondering.
Thinking of ways to attack the banks and really pig them off.
I'm so frustrated and angry by what I've recently been reading on the website. Banks are such money-grabbing poohs and I really want to pig them off as much as they've pigged off their customers.

You can try complaining to the Advertising Standards Authority if you like, for all the good it'll do you. Originally, the banks were rapped for not making it clear in their advertising that fees are charged for arranging loans, early repayment, etc., so now these are made clear. Even if the arrangement fee is far more than reasonable (it doesn't cost them £600 to credit-check you and then arrange for payment from one of their own accounts to another of their own accounts), and early settlement charges are surely illegal (you charge interest on money that is owed - if an account is settled early, the money is no longer owed, so you don't get to charge interest on it).
Unfortunately the banks really hold the power over governments (in any country, I suppose) because they hold the finance.
Vital spark v Lloyds Tsb 2nd November 2006: 1st letter, requesting back statements, hand delivered to lloyds TSB: got receipt.
I have received the information on my accounts going back 6 (six) years but not going back to the begining of my hsitory with the bank, as I requested.
Think I'd best send a letter suggesting they send the lot and informing them that I have already paid the £10 for such information.
Mairi's awaiting my details so that she can help me work out the interest due on the charges taken.
Personal: growing and changing while ever remaining the same. Get to know me and tell me what I'm like coz I can't figure me out.
