Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Firstly like to comment on how useful I have found this site.
I have just typed my letter requesting statements for last 5 years and will post Recorded Delivery tomorrow. Who knows the amount illegaly taken from my joint account in last 5 years but for a taster between May and end of June this year from 2 accounts held with RBS I was illegally charged approx £1800.
Additonally I would like to comment that I find their service immoral. Countless times I was contacted re overdraft (customer review was how they put it) and each time they increased the limit as in their words we want to save you charges. They thought I was a great customer with all the money they were making from me. Then at the endd of June this year I was fortunate enough to put a 5 figure sum in my account and hey hoo they didint want to know me by this time they have cancelled my switch card and issued me with a cashline card. Why did they not want to know it was obvouis they were making no money out of me.
Sorry for ranting but I am so angry.
Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine. One thing to remember though..........Dont use "illegal" (its not). Its "unlawful".
