Sample account closure request letter

Hi, I have looked for a template letter requesting for my account to be closed. I have searched on google and on here but I can not find one. Please can somebody help me find a sample or template letter that writes to the branch manager requesting an account to be closed down.

Why close it? Why not just leave a pound in there? It will cost the banks.

Just keep an eye on the account as they might put some sneaky charges in.

However, if you do want to close it then I think you have to give them notice and make sure all your DD's and SO's are sorted out.

My request for closure has nothing to do with claiming bank charges. I have been treated very well by the bank in question - I would just like to close the account. I am not interested in keeping it open - please can you help me write a letter requesting the account to be closed.

I am writing to you to request the closure of the above account with immediate effect (or whatever date).

Then wait for the phone call icon

/letter asking you why and can they do anything to persuade you to stay. Btw the templete letters are only relating to Bank Charges.
