Sent off a Std letter and £10 cheque to Barclaycard and have recieved the std response of only 2yrs of Statements and before May 2004 all on MicroFiche.
I have calculated £240 from 2006 to May 2004, however, I most of my charges with Barclaycard were prior to then !!
Has anyone successfully managed to get pre-May 2004 statements from Barclaycard yet (either voluntry or through the courts) ?
Yes! Give Peter Townsend a call at Data Protection, he is usally very helpful, also you can refer to the fact that the information commisioner this week announced that Abbey Bank could not use the old microfiche argument any longer regarding statements... and that microfiche is indeed a revelant filing system, just a guess but that is the same argument you willl get from barclay so inform them of that and see what they say!!! (not alot i would think!)
