    Default daviduk1 V Woolwich.

I think I have chickened out....

2 phone callsicon today from a very nice lady....the only 1 that works there me thinks!!

My charges over last 6 yearsicon are just over £1500. I am currently overdrawn by £200 due to charges as they didnt recieve notification of me closing thje account. They have also passed my details to westcot bailifficon people for the outstanding £200. And they have put a default on my credit file.

First Offer of £650 was rejected and was called back today with the offer of £800 with conditons that I have added:

    £800 cheque
Default removed completely from my credit file
    £200 overdrafticon paid by them
    No westcot sevices after me
And everthing finalised and done with.

I am extremely tempted....I have got money back from other places and I am more than happy with the above....

What do you lovely people think?

The thought of courts and more stuff to do is doing me head in.....lol

I don't think anyone can make this decision for you - it boils down to how much do you really want to avoid the extra 'hassle'.
Just think though, with one more little push you could get an extra £500 and all of your conditions met. They won't go to court of course! One last thing - get it in writing from them.

Its entirely up to you when you settle we are only here to offer advice and support on a personal basis i wouldnt settle for any less than full settlement after all ive worked hard enough to get the money they unlawfully took with their charges so if it was me no i wouldnt take it but then i dont know your circumstances so my friend at the end of the day its your money and entirely your decision !

I can only echo that, you may consider it worth the £500 to do away with the overdrafticon DCAicon and default, although you may well get these comditions met further down the line, if they withdraw them and you have to battle to get the default removed, you are certainly in for more hassle!!

Whatever you decide, your certainly not the loser in this!!!

I think its a case of if it suits your needs now then go for it. I know for a fact if I was offered 50-60% of what I am owed then I would be tempted as it clears a few bills that are breathing down my neck atm and I am not strapped for cash after that

but then again if you can afford to sit it out for the maximum then even better

just because most people go all the way doesnt mean you have to as long as you get a result that benefits yourself overall!!!
