A quick update - pretty hilarious this...

Defence was filed with the Court by Abbeyicon's own Legal Team, NO SOLICITOR!

The letter to me was addressed "Dear Madam..." :o

Their Defence denies all the allegations set out in the Particulars of Claim...

*They admit that I have a current bank account with them (WHICH I DON'T - IT WAS A mortgageicon ACCOUNT AND CLOSED 4 YRS AGO!!)

*The applicable T's & C's they refer to in their Defence were all ones I accepted (BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A CURRENT ACCOUNT AND SO DIDN'T NEED TO APPLY FOR AN overdrafticon, HAVE AN UNAUTHORISED OVERDRAFT OR WAS CHARGED FEES FOR HAVING AN UNAUTHORISED OVERDRAFT!!)

*Any overdraft facility on my Account was (and is) subject to the Conditions laid out (DID I TELL YOU IT WAS A mortgageicon ACCOUNT, NOT A CURRENT ACCOUNT???! )

So, not only do Abbey not know what they are doing, but they can't tell a Leslie from a Lesley and I think they need a lie down in a darkened room to halt the confusion!!!

Can't wait to file my allocation questionnaireicon...oh what fun!

    ;-)

looks like mine done on the 24th must have been one of the few lasts ones done correctly by DLA Piper. I wonder if they will continue as the solicitor or if Abbeys own team will take it over, I hope they do.
