    Default missjoy V Barclaycard

Hi all, im a noobie on here, so please go easy!

Right, i sent of to Barclaycard requesting all my statements from my account with them (which has been settled & closed for the past year).

Barclaycard sent me the statements dating back to 2004 for free, but said that any i wanted before this were held on macro somethiing or other & they wanted something like £5 per statement! Now, where do i go from here? I believe a few of you have had similar problems? Is there a nice template i can send to them regarding this? Im useless at letters (as you can probably tell) so any help, as always, is greatly appreciated! ;-)

Did you use the SARicon Subject access requesticon template and enclose the £10.00 fee.
If you did then i belive the next step is to lbaicon on the basis a complaint will be issued to the info comms'r
The SAR is your request for the info, they are obliged to supply the requested statements, and cannot charge more than the £10.00 fee.
First Direct and perhpas others have supplied al stateemnts free of charge and have returned payment.
It is a ploy by Barclaysicon to slow down and frustrate the process.
They will ultimately supply the info.

Cheers joebloggs. Yes i used the SARicon template but didnt enclose a fee. Will i issue a lbaicon anyway? Is there a template i can use now as they arent willing to provide me with statements prior to May 04 without a payment of £3 per statement?

I dont mean to sound rude so please do not take offence.

You really do need to enclose the fee for the SARicon, you are after al askign them to comply with a fee paying request.
In some cases they will return that fee and provide the information free of charge, if they see a get out then they will use it.
Enclosing the fee means they cannot charge you more for items you have requested.
If it were me i would resubmit the SARicon with the £10.00 fee and see what happens.
