    Cool ITV News

The main headline is that Credit Card companies are ripping us off. I'm sure that is only the opinion of the OFT though. Which? magazines Doug Taylor, recommends the small claims track.
The underlying theme is the bump to other financial institutions.
£300 million is the price quoted.

they aint the only ones reporting it. on Radio1 today on the news, there was talk that the OFT will be setting the charges at no more than £12 a letter. this is still way to high for one sheet of paper and a envelope and a stamp from a franking machine.

they was trying to say if you got these charges last year there is nothing you can do about it. yer right haha this country is in for a big shackl up.

requiring banks to lower their default charges to a maximum of £12. They have given them until 31 May to do so.

...and there was me thinking they had until Oct 26th 2005.

The OFT's deadlines are laughable - simply because they ALLOW people to laugh at them.

When the deadlines are ignored, the OFT just shelves it.

I know that I was asking who was trying to imply that old charges couldn't be recovered. In particular I wanted to check that the OFT weren't saying this.

sorry it was on the news report on radio one, they didnt say who stated but it was mentioned by the news reader, was at about 5pm i think might have been the half past news item. i dont know if she quoted it from the OFT or just from a sheet of paper she was told to read out, it was one of the main stories.
