ive been in possesion of a barclaycard for over eight yrs, at some early point i got in to financial troubles due to redundancy and so was then unable to pay off my monthly instalments in the manner that i was used to. i then had to pay the minimum payment, this continued month in month out for some considerable yrs...although the monthly minimum payments were made, sometimes, more rather than less, were made a day late due to not being able to make the set date for payments, this then incurred over £30:00 in bank charges, this then put me over my limit and so i was then also charged another £30:00 odd pounds for being over the limit. when u consider i was making the payments to barclaycard a day late due to financial problems at that time of which they were aware and then incurring these types of bank charges on virtualy a monthly basis for a period of almost 6 yrsyou can imagine the amounts that eventualy accrued..
fortunatly i am now clear of all the debt that Barclaycard imposed on meand the account left in a state of complete blackness so to speak, hence my reason for attempting to claim all or even some of the amounts that they initialy took off me over the years.
On 1St September this year after reading about the possiblity of reclaiming and finding the initial letter on this site i forewarded a claim to Barclaycard asking for all the monies to be returned. they stated that they would reply and hoped to resolve the matter by 27th september. As of today 2Nd October i havnt had any form of reply. i contacted them by telephone today and told them of my reply date and was 'suddenly' informed that a letter had been sent out to me this morning and i should be getting itin the next day or two..mm...amazing eh.. ..just wondering if anyone else had problems with b/c and if they were successful in their recouping their losses from them?
hi back again..oct 3rd....recieved a letter from barclaycard this morning by first pot..basicaly saying that they have been unable to resolve my complaint to MY SATISFACTION...and that they shall now recontact me again by the 25th october 2006... STUMPED...DO I NOW FOREWARD ANOTHER LETTER STATING IM GIVING 14 DAYS OR TO COURT WE GO OR WAIT AND BIDE MY TIME???
