Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
The third of my attacks on the banks bring me to barclaycard. I have not used the account for many years, it is now with a collections company. The limit was 400 though the balance now stands close to £1000...
During the time that I did use it I had many charges etc which I ended up paying. As such I hope that the "fees" can be wiped off, and that the charges I paid will cover the £400 balance, perhaps with extra in hand. My main aim is to zero the account and wipe off the debt, anything extra is a bonus.
Not sure where to start with this one as I have read lots on here about banks, but not credit cards. Additionally, the fact that it is with a debt collection agency leaves me a bit unsure on how to proceed....
Off to do more reading, but any help from you folks would be fantastic
