Hi Guys,
I recently got a new contract with orangethrough dialaphone - i firstly called dialaphone up and asked what i would get, their rep said i would receive 500 Xnet mins anytime and unlimited texts. Because i was at work at the time i said i would complete the application on their website.
On there i did notice it said 500 mins and 500 texts however i assumed it would be something they would rectify at their end to provide me with the unlimited texts.
Then on some paperwork that came through it also said 500 mins & 500 texts, started to panic and gave them a call - they stated that i was given the wrong information and that i wouldnt receive unlimited texts, i told them that the only reason i was changing from O2 and taking this contract was because i would get unlimited texts.. so i argued for about 30 minutes being passed to three other departments until a reasonably nice lady said she understood where i was coming from but she could only suggest i contact Orange directly.....
So i gave Orange a call and asked them to confirm to me what tariff i was on and what comes with it, the guy said you are on the Dolphin 35 18 month contract and you receive 550 Xnet mins anytime and unlimited texts.
Im still a little dubious though - so im going to wait to see what my bill details when it comes in...
Surely if im not on the tariff they offered then i should be allowed to change it onto that one or cancel?!
What should be my stance in putting up a fight as i feel ive been given misleading information which has tied me into an 18 month contract!!
