i have a loan with open and direct and i am trying to cancel the creditcover(ppi). I have sent several letters asking for this to be cancelled/ no response.

 

I then sent letter saying i had lost my job and wanted to use ppi/ response was a extra £100 bill for adminstration for getting behind on payments.

 

Sent complaint to Financial Ombudsman Service, who cant help and have directed me to the finance and leasing association.

 

Now this company is going to default me

 

what now!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

i've got no 6 from open and direct on my credit file with equifax, as they don't answer our letters there must be alot of people who are in the same position and we need to make an official complaint to the OFT

 

Barclaycard Student credit card £400 partial refund received, S.A.R -

Open & Direct Finance- extortionate, cca to Rockwell debt collection they ran away, now with Bryan Carter, no cca 17/03/08 sent back to Open

Pugsley v Littlwoods, have not received the signed credit agreement only quoting reg of 1983

Pugsley v Fashion World JD williams, 17/03 2008 Debt Managers returning file to JD williams as they could not supply the credit agreement

Capital one MCOL Settled in full

Smile lba settled in full

after sending letter to say lost job and want to avail of ppi, i got this response

 

I write with regards to the above acc

your letter has been read and noted on acc. In order to enquire about a claim fo your ppi please contact admin' direct group' on 01302 380 355 and they will assist

I had motorbike insurance with Honda Insurance, who used Premium First (a division of Open and Direct, based in belfast). I cancelled the Insurance policy, due to the bike being broken.

 

I recieved a letter from premium First dated 19th September, saying that I owed them £74.16, but they recieved a return premium from the broker of £33.05, so I owed them £41.11. I thought, right I shall pay them when I gat paid.

 

Recieved a letter this morning (dated 2nd October)

 

Balance Outstanding £66.11

Despite our previous letter, bla bla bla

We have added a £25.00 "administration fee".

 

Your account is now being assessed for processing by out Debt Collection Agency. Bla bla bla

 

We will allow ten working days or a further letter will result in a £40.00 administration fee. Bla bla bla

 

Well, Premium First, my account may be being assessed for a debt collector, but I am on your case, and I believe a lovley S.A.R might be landing on your doorstep just presently.

 

ADDITION TO THIS:-

I am not simply sending a SAR to get away from the £33, which i don't disput owing them, its purely for the £25 "admin. fee", and the further £40 fee, as I don;t get paid until the 14th, so the other letter will arrive. Surely these companies cannot expect people to pay an unexpected bill withing 10 days? This isnurance policy was cancelled over two months ago!!!

Halifax Prelim letter sent 2/08 Fob off recv'd : 7/08, Settled 17/08, without LBA even being sent : £240 agreed, just £28 short of what we were claiming for!

 

BoS: All statments recieved, totalling £1,680 before intrest, 09/08 CCA Request sent to Hollis Briggs Solicitors, Prelim sent on 12/8. Hollis briggs never did reply to the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request). LBA has been sent, and action has begun in the small claims court! Return date 2/11, Prelim. hearing 9/11. Hollis Briggs have dropped the account, which is now back under BoS head office control! BoS ignored court claim, and din't reply at all. Spoke to rachel Hinchliffe, who said they did not recieve summons, now in her personal hands. 2/11 - Recieved noticed of debt collection on this account from Wescot, just more evidence of icompetency, and for court! :lol:
