Default Jolly Pleasant reply from the Bank....

Basically saying that they are investigating the statements and charges (after preliminary approach)and will contact me with a response in the next 10 working days. This takes me over the 14 days I gave them (just about) but I will wait and see what happens before taking the next stage. I'll keep you posted

Their respnse will just be a fob of letter. As a previous poster said, you dictate the time scale, not them. Keep them on the back foot

Thumbs down Re: Jolly Pleasant reply from the Bank....

Something unbeleivable happened today. I phoned the bank on an unrelated issue and ended up with someone trying to sell the idea of a savings account to me. When I told him I already had one elsewhere, he was most insistant and it would be so "easy to just put a bit of money in and the rest wouldn't take long to sort"...He sounded gutted when I said no.

This kind of made me realise that in the last 10 years or so of banking with them, they have literally turned into a sales company, and I wonder how much comission that guy was on?. Up to that point I never had any issues at all with them, but I become more disgruntled every time I phone them up now.
