    Default New & Confused!

I'm going through all my old statements (pretty complete so hopefully will mean I can bypass the first stage)...
I have a royalties gold acc and with each statement I get a page that says 'advice of service charge'. It's £20 (maintenance chg) + £10 (fee) almost every month.
Are these the charges I am trying to get back as well as the ones they levvied following going over my o/d limit, bounced cheques etc etc???

    Can anyone help please?

Oh and what exactly is the 'referral charge' I see for about £40 every month, which is separate from the service charge?

(I can't believe I've never really looked at my statements closely before)

OK, the £10 fee is what you're paying for the 'privilege' of having a Royalties Gold account ie you can't claim that back. Everything else you can The referral charge is usually where you didn't have enough funds to pay a DD or similar and the bank paid it anyway! For that YOU pay so claim it back!!

Thanks! Bit sneaky how they just combine maintenance, fee and interesticon on overdrafts into one lump in your statement.

Really keen to get the ball rolling but am a bit worried about getting it all wrong!
