Thread: Getting Statements from Branch - £5 :-

Hi all,

Went to my Barclays Branch today and said i needed copy statements going back to 2000 and i wondered how to go about it and how much it would cost. I thought i'd ask face to face before being all formal and sending DPA request to a faceless bureaucrat.

The very nice woman on the counter filled in a form for me with the start and end dates and said it would cost £5 and take about 14 days. I asked if i could have a photocopy of the form, which was no problem.

From reading various posts on this site, it appears that some banks are quite happy to oblige and send copy statements, either free of charge or for only £5.

IMHO a trip to the branch is a good first step, and it saved me a fiver!

This is all ok, but it will not give you a letter (or a non response) admitting that no manual intervention took place, nor will it give you a list of notes made, etc.
