Thread: Errors on Speeding Ticket

I was given a ticket last night for speeding. The PC copied my details from the driving licence I handed to him. However he has written 'Lawerence' instead of 'Laurence' for my middle name, and the location as 'Broadstaires' instead of 'Broadstairs'.

Is that reason for invalidating/contesting the ticket?

You could go to PePiPoo: Helping the motorist to get justice and ask there, but I would have my doubts that it would cancelled for that.

Small administrative errors will not invalidate the ticket.

In any case, if you contest it, they'll just withdraw the fixed penalty offer and summons you to court with the correct details.

Loads of people in all manner of professions have difficulty in spelling these days, not just police officers.
