Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.

I sent my DPA to churhill place and got my statements back (post may 04) within about 4 days, however I didn't need to go back beyond may 04 so sent my prelim letter (the timeline expires on the 8th) to Sue Lomas in Manchester (for Barclaycard) and Radbroke Hall, cheshire for Barclays Bank. Altough just had a normal time delay letter from Barclays Bank.
Hope this helps, PM me if not.
Cheers

i used the london address and got statements from may 2004 within 4 working days. I don't think it actually matters which address you use, it will get forwarded to correct dept. and processed within the timeframe. However, getting statements from beyond may 04 is still an issue (though not for me as I started the account in Aug 05.
Hope this helps

Recieved letter back from Deborah Woodcock Customer Relationship Manager @

Tel: 0161 200 7476
She says Our computers do not allow us to print historic data, nor can they serach for charges to individual accounts. She happily says default charges were only introduced in mid 2001. She will close my file if she doesn't hear from me within 8 weks of her letter.......She will!
I've put 'FAO Data Controller' and it's going to 1 Churchill Place, cos that's where the Info Commissioner says they are. And forget the FREEPOST, cos it'll end up in the bin. Proof of posting isn't proof of receipt.
Send by registered post, to the registered address, and they won't have any excuses.
just spoke to B/C on the phone. They have set up a new dept. to handle these queries apprantly
I was told to send them to:

Hi dayglo, when you say they have set up a new dept. to handle these queries which queries do you mean? ie. copies of old statements etc., or letters before action? On my statement it says the address to contact them on is
Customer Services
Barclaycard House
P O Box 5592
Northampton
NN4 1ZY.
I'm preparing to send off my lba. Which address do you think I should send it to please?
I got a reply from a customer relationship manager from the manchester address within 5 days. They disagreed with the legal analysis but offered to refund the difference between the OFT recommnded charge of £12 and the late payment charge of £20 as a good will gesture. I have sent a rejection letter asking for the full amount to the same office.
I dont think it matters which address you use or which person replies - it will be forwarded internally to the right peson. Good luck!
