Hi all

As the title say just wanted Caggers views on this one as i have a disabled friend and the Local Authority Winter Grit Policy neglects Disabled and those House Bound.

The Local Authority state winter grit can be obtained free from xxxxx depot and you are allowed to take away xxx amount.

1. All Local Authority residents pay for this service so should it not be open to all and just not those able bodied.

2. Is this not the Local Authority Discriminating against other as you need to be able bodied to do this and no option for those disabled or house bound.

Whats your thoughts?

I thought MB's point was spot on!

What do you want, a personal delivery system to everyone unable to pick there own grit up???

WHY would you even bother to worry about this, get out more!

Ahh, right, I understand now. You didn't want people's thoughts unless they agreed with you. Sometimes I despair at what people expect of their local council.

Here's an idea. Why don't you ask the council to abandon the scheme. That way, depending on your point of view, they're either discriminating against every resident or not discriminating against anyone. Job done.
