    Talking Tinkerbell VS Abbey!

    Well...
    After reading my August Abbeyicon statement this year and nearly dying of a heart attack due to a £80 fine, I thought I'd visit the Consumer Action Group.

    I read all of your stories and got fired up! I copied the first letter template and sent it to Abbey. They wrote back after 4 weeks to advise that it was going to take another 4 weeks to complete the investigation. They were basically saying that they were being fair and it was doubtful that I would get my money back!!! Before I could write back to complain, I recieved another letter from Abbey in the post today, which stated this, ' Having carried out a full investigation, I can assure you the charges do not contravene those regulations. ( Unfair Terms in consumer Contracts regulations) However as a gesture of goodwillicon, I am happy to offer a refund of £80'.

    Well goodness me, my goodwill refund just so happens to be the amount I was charged in fees!

    Thank you everyone for all of your help- its another success story for the little people!!!!!!
