hi ,
ive recently had my paperwork back from the robbing ^%&&**( who STILL keep charging £25 for 'payments'. ive worked out they owe me approx £700 over 6 years.if i tell them what i want to claim, will i only get any interest due if i issue a court claim ?
i.e am i only entitled to any interest if it goes to court, if they pay up stright away ill lose the interest right ? i assume the interest on this will take it to approx £1000.
whilst i m on my soapbox i rang them last week to find out why they had charged me for being 'overdrawn' when it was clear i had enough money in my bank to pay the bill.they told me: because i had a pending payment for the dayafter, i was technically overdrawn so they charged me.on the date in question i had enough money to pay my bills!!! me thinks a letter to the FSA about this is on its way, that cannot be legal or fair
finally, ive looked in the library for a template to send to my credit card providers, and i cant see a suitable one- only one for when you know what you are owed.is the procedure the same as for banks? is a standard DPA request ok ?
any help is appreciated
Hi Gaz
The interest is only when you go file the claim and depending on how long each payment has been for depends on the interest. I started off for £720 but got paid £934 and that had the £80 for the moneyclaim on there too. I don't think they will pay up straight away as they want to make sure you are serious.
I think its really bad they charged you when you would not have been overdrawn........:o
I'm not sure about the last one, I would think its the DPA letter so you can then find out what charges have been made.
Hope this helps

First, I wouldn't worry about losing interest because they pay up straight away. It's just not gonna happen!
Second, send your dpa for your credit card account - same rules apply as for bank claims.
Third, have you had a good read around the forum? As it gives you an excellent insight into the way the claims actually pan out. You can read all the worries, heartache, problems and finally joy at success.
