Hi there this is my first post, I would like to say hello to you all.... I hope you could help me I received a letter from MH to say that I owe carbot Financial apx £600 I need to make a payment asap I got this letter in August and I wrote to them say that I never hear of Carbot Financial could you please give me more information,
I never did get e reply!!!! so I receveid yet another letter saying that they haven't recevied any commucation and they would reduce the amount I owe to this company!!! so yet agian I wrote then another letter explaning yet again I never heard of them and I did send them a letter to explan this!! this time I sent the letter recorded delivery!! apx 4 days later my letter came back, it was quite clear that they had opened it to read it before they didn't signed it so to return, I have try to communcate with these people but they don't seem to want to help!!! what should I do next I don't want to go to court of have anyone knocking on my door I live with my dad and I don't want to worrey him.
Any advise will be helpful many thanks
This debt may be over 6 years old and if so it will be barred if no ccj has been applied. Do not make any payments untill you get the information through.

Also check out my thread, similar issue to yours I have been dealing with them for quite a while. I awknowledge no debt to them and want it deleted from my credit file. Don't expect anything from them, they are cowboys!!
Soodanam you should be aware that there are many on this site who have debt problems as a result of unlawful bank penalty charges.Others come here to find a way to get them sorted after fruitless efforts elsewhere.
Consumer action group does not encourage debt evasion,hovever our role is one of advisor and not one of chastiser.

Martin, it is quite obvious that DCA's such as Mackenzie Hall and those who work for them, are seriously lacking when it comes to possessing an ounce of humanity.
I would be ashamed to ever admitting that I worked for such a disreputable bunch of toerags as Mackenzie Hall but hey thats just me.
If any one was contemplating phoning Mackenzies to sort them selves out, this guy would put you off straight away.
There is no way on this earth i would call now.

I just want to say this here and now.
We have a dedicated team here Site helpers and Mods who work very hard and have spent many hours on this forum trying to address issus that at times have caused for some near suicidal thoughts we have seen total despair and have helped in some cases where the member has felt like theres no where to turn.
This forum is close to my heart because at times it can be emotive and at times can be demanding,like I said to him we dont encourage people to evade their debt and we dont encourage people to give that advice here either, but I have to say that since I have been here,from my experiences the genuine cases far outweigh the small numbers who blatantly seek to dodge.
I would ask you all .....dont take the bait and remain assured that I and the rest of the team will support all genuine cases of debt and baliff hardships and advice within these forums.I cannot quite honestly imagine what benefit a DCA or associated worker could have from coming here other than to try and assist or dispel the fears and experiences that many have had at the hands of the dcas.....sadly in this case that has not happened.
I will not stand by and see members personally insulted for whatever reason.We all have debts at some stage some more than others myself included.We want to help those that want to help themselves here in these forums,unfortunately some need more help than others because of their experiences at the hands of dcas who have no respect or understanding of codes of practice and statute law.I cannot speak for them I can only speak on behalf of our team.These threads will remain committed to helping the people that came here to address baliff and debt,regardless of those who may seek to challenge that end.

Right back to the problem, because they have me down for 2 accounts for 1 debt, would i have to send 1 cca or 2 seperate ones?
I cant find the original bill, but i know i made a payment less than 6 years ago but i cant remember when.
Looks like they have consolidated them into one.
Originally it would have been 2.
Only gonna cost you an extra quid as you can send both requests in the same envelope.
Up to them to get the details as they are administering them now unlike data preoection requests where data controllers can refuse a request unless it is specific.
