    Default Court Fee Exemption

    I have seen a number of posts from people who are delaying issuing court proceedings because they cannot afford the fees. This is taken from the HMCS web site:

    You may be exempt from paying a court fee which means that you do not have to pay it, by law.
    You will be exempt from paying a fee if:
    · You or your partner receive the benefit Income Support. Partner means someone to whom you are married, or in a civil partnership with; or someone who you live with as if you are married to them or in a civil partnership.
    · You or your partner receive Pension Credit guarantee credit.
    · You receive the benefit Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance.
    Either:
    · Your gross annual income (your income before income tax and other money is taken away) is less than £15460 and you receive Working Tax Credit with a 'disability element' or 'severe disability element';
    or
    · Your gross annual income is less than £15460 and you and your partner receive Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit between you.

    Default Re: Court Fee Exemption

    Hi paul

    This is posted in the user guide (click link below see step 7), however, up until yesterday you would only find this if you looked in the HSBCicon forum, however, as of yesterday a newer version is now in the FAQ,s

    It has already moved to No 1 of the 5 most read threads (I never thought that I would ever reach no 1 at anything lol).

    Hopefully this will be enough but just in case, it was only this morning actually, I asked if the thread could be posted accross all bank forums (which i beleive is currently in process) so you should soon find a link to it in the stickies of your forum.

    So far i have only received good feedback but all feedback is welcome.

    Please take a look - include a link to it in your signatureicon if you like
