Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My brother has just bought a house. Took out mortgage Protection with Payment Shield.
For whatever reason, my brother has been signed off work with depression. He telephoned the insurers and was told, the depression had to be verified by a specialist.
He went back to his doctors who were a little annoyed that their proffessional opinion was being doubted but said he could be refered to a psychiatrist BUT it would be 4-6 months before he is seen. The doctor expects the depression to be short term and he will be better in 3-5 months.
So where does he stand, he wont be ill when he gets seen hopefully but will be 4 months in arears with his mortgage ?
