Just about to send my first letter requesting statements. I have looked through the stickies at the addresses but I am unsure of what address would be the best to use?

    Can anyone help?

Default Referral Fees, can I claim them back as well?

Looking through the statements which I have still got, about 2 years worth, and notice that nearly every month I have had charges going out tht appear on the statement as REFERRAL FEE. The values are different each month ranging from £20 - £90 but always in multiples of 10.

What are these charges and can I claim them back?

    Thanks

Yes. A referral fee is when the bank pay an item usually SO or DD that takes you over an agreed overdrafticon. The £30 current charges, maximum is £90 per month

I had my first refferal fee after I filed my case so it is not included in my current claim I would probably have to file another claim for them but looking through the forum I would say yes these referral fees are still classed as unfair charges

I think the mods might be able to answer this better

    regards
    Greg

Default Could do with some advice before I go any further.

I sent off my letter for SARicon for my statements and they replied asking for a signatureicon to verify before they released the documents (i already signed my letter) but hey.

I have not replied as of yet.

Nows heres where I need advice. I used to get paid on the 25th of each month and now I get a cheque on the last working date of each month. By the time this clears its normally the 5th at the latest. I have 3 payments due to go out on the 28th of the month. I phoned them 2 days ago and asked for these payments to be moved. They told me this was not possible to do with such short notice (7 dayts should be plenty?!?) and that they would still be applying for payment and therefore I would incur three charges for these payments. One of them is a Loan with themselves which makes it even worst.

Now do I hold off my claim until these charges have been charged, which will probably be next months statement, or do I go ahead with my claim and add them on later. Is it easy to add this on later?

You can amend your claimicon (up or down) at any time right up to moneyclaim

Were the payments DD or SO? On the front of my latest statement (12 Sept) is:

'When cancelling a standing order, a minimum of 2 working days notice must now be given to stop a payment being made from your account'

2 Standing Orders and 1 direct debiticon.

The direct Debit being with Natwesticon themselves. Makes you laugh.

I'm with Natwesticon and have cacelled standing Orders two days before, so whoever you spoke to was talking rubbish!
Keep going and add it on when the charges come.

    Default Spreadsheet Q

What are the advantages of using the advanced one over the simple one?

It adds the 8% up as it goes. I am only at the Prelim stage so do I just erase that section from the spreadsheet for the moment? As as far as I am aware I only add that on once it goes to MCl stage.

Many thanks and sorry for the tedious question i'm not very good with stuff like this.

Im getting really confused here. Just trying to complete my prelim letter and noticed this bit

    "What I require
I calculate that you have taken £XXXXX plus £XXX which you have charged me in overdrafticon interest for the sum which you have taken. Total £XXXXX . "

but I thought we weren't adding interest on at the moment or am I being thick?
