Default probably written about a thousand times before but...

How about us becoming shareholders and trying to get these issues on the agenda at the AGM of a/all major banks?

Don't know what it would take, but is it possible?

I would have thought that large groups of us could by one share each and then when the floor is opened up for AOB we could have a right old shareholder debate between ourselves.

Equally, as shareholders we could question other matters that were being discussed.

What if as shareholders we each presented cases of illegal charges etc. keep the agm running on and on.

Ask the question if shareholders are culpable?

Hi all, been away for a week (got a very cheap deal!!!) and I just popped by to say this is a great idea.

I actually sent a letter to A & L because they sent me a leafelt promoting thier ISA (to get the rate you HAD TO have thier current account. I pointed out that I had never given consent for this mailing and asked them to supply evidence. I also pointed out I have no plans of signing up for thier current account because of thier charging policy and account closure etc, etc. I said that I expect them to contact me to address the points raised in my letter and then not send me anymore marketting mail.

For the record I currently bank with Nationwideicon (whom I also work for), and whilst I'm ashamed of thier behaviour in the way they have handled some claims at least I know thier overdrafticon rate is quite low.

What is my alternative? I would happily switch, and the thing is with something like this you just can't tell how big it could get. All those i favour?
