Default Trying to be helped !

    Hello there !

I've been using this splendid site for over a month now. Now why I haven't joined the community proper and said hello, I just don't know.

I thought I could skim all the experiences and advice, without actually getting stuck in myself. Doh !

    I do have a question:
I'm at Moneyclaim stage of getting charges from Natwesticon. Chugging along quite nicely I thought.
Now after reading through some threads, I realise the schedule I sent to Natwest contains 5 entries which I know I can't claim for. (Account fees I'd agreed to).
Can I reduce the claim at Moneyclaim stage ? Or am I stuffed ?

I promise to communicate before I get a problem in the future !

It is for reasons like this that correct procedures should be followed and advice should be asked for if you are uncertain.
Having said that,I know no one is perfect and we all make mistakes but when you are taking a big corporation to court then theres little room for errors.......that is if you wish to win the claim !!

If you have not yet filled in the Moneyclaim forms and started the court action then you should send the bank an ammended shedule showing the new figures.
It is a good thing you spotted the error early as re-submitting the claim later is both costly and time consuming.
You have already advised them of the basis of your claim,so there is no way they could in general dispute that later.
You should send the revised schedule by registered post and keep a copy.
When you file on MC send the court a copy AND the defendants which will show the added 8% interesticon.
Dont make a fuss about the ammendments to the bank.....you are not obliged to go into detail just be mre careful !!

Thank you for your answer Martin.

My only confusion now is when do I send schedule (with 8%) to court and defendant ?
I'm only guessing at after initial MCOL submitted, but I haven't pressed that button yet.

I have seen references to this in threads, but no definitive answer.

The 8% is added to the charges when you submit the claim online.
As there is no space to fit in a charges schedule you simply post that off to the court and 1 to the defendant.
